A powerful bomb blast took place at around 7 pm today evening at German Bakery a popular food joint at Koregaon Park in Pune, Pune has being under the scanner of terrorists for quite some time now, in fact post 26/11 attacks in Mumbai, Pune has being put on high alert many times based on terror threats, in fact i have being witnessing a police checks at major points within the city during late night in Koregaon Park and nearby areas while returning from office. Police vans used to patrol regularly and police barricades used to be set up checking vehicles at the Koregaon Park bridge towards Gold Adlabs, at times one can find drunkards and party revellers coming from Koregaon Park halting at this bridge and sometimes cause nuisance late night, so entry points at koregaon park were barricaded by police from last 3-4 months.
I would not blame the Maharashtra government for this blast becuase after David headly's interrogation revelaed that he did visit Pune during his India visit, the Chabad House at Koregaon park was heavily guarded, even up to yesterday i could see sand bags stocked at the chabad house premise while i was passing through Koregaon Park, even concrete road dividers were also being planted in Koregaon Park yesterday, as the main road of Koregaon Park is a small road and this area has many party spots for brats who keep speeding on their bikes and cars on this road, i would really like to know where are the bravehearts of Maharashtra from MNS and Shiv Sena?
Though My Name is Khan did not release in pune still almost all movie halls in pune were provided with heavy police security, just becuase of the useless threats which Shiv Sena had issued for stopping this film from getting released, Shiv Sena would have really felt proud of all this drama they set up, it's just becuase of these sickos the police force had to be diverted to protect the cinema halls and now Shiv Sena would put the blame on Ashok Chavan that he was busy protecting a film release, so what should a CM do, protect civilians from Political Goons or Terrorists?
Now media would blow up this issue badly, i could already see debate topics like Sena Vs State flashing on news channels, now they would also put the blame on Ashok Chavan posing questions like "Does a film release need security or the common people", The police force in Maharashtra is already under pressure, it cannot protect every walking person on the street and with additional goons from Shiv Sena and MNS in the state it makes thier job more difficult, at the center UPA has already started showing signs of going soft on Pakistan, after a verbal standoff for almost a year with no concrete results underway on Mumbai Attacks and Ajmal Qasab making a mockery of Indian Judiciary, we should not bow to US pressure and start talking to Pakistan again, US continues to feed a mad dog like Pakistan through financial aid to fight Taliban, and criticize companies that outsource jobs to India. Don't they think about the taxpayers money while granting aid to a terror state like Pakistan.
Former prime minister Tony Blair also was under heavy fire during recent hearings which were conducted on him for partnering with US on their war in Iraq, i keep wondering when would we actually see some action on Pakistan at global level, Times of India group should actually stop "Aman Ki Asha" circus, we cannot expect peace from a neighbour which is always ready to stab is in our back every time we have tried to make things better, and cricket players in Australia have stood up for racist attacks that have happened on Indians, Pakistani cricket players should be made felt that they belong to a terror state and they represent a rouge country that is running on fake democarcy, deep within it is a militant state ready to disturb peace in the South Asian continent. I feel what happened in IPL 3 bidding stage is appropriate.
Again for few days we would see the debate shows occupying news channel prime time slots, blame game on the central and state government, few feiry words from Sena and MNS, and then the issue would die down. It's really unfortunate that has happened in Pune and let's hope peace prevails in the city.
